Breaking: John McCain Served in Military |

So, they interrupted the financial news this morning for a breaking report on the New York Times allegations of McCain's affair with a much younger lobbyist...
John McCain was holding a press conference to address the accusation,
and he actually answered the question directly, flatly denying the
charge. Its great that he could say he didn't do it in just a few
words, but without taking any pause he follows his denial with a
reminder that he's served the country in the military. I'm really
greatful Senator McCain, but I fail to see how its relevant to the
question at hand. If no proof is offered by the sources making the charge, McCain's "Deny and Distract" response might work out. If proof is provided in the form of photos, expense sheets, or multiple witnesses, this conference will become McCain's Lewinski moment. Unfortunately for him, this could be a video record of him caught in a lie before being elected. Its so much easier to get away with lies after you're elected.
