Clinton and McCain Win Big on Super Tuesday E-mail
Tuesday, 05 February 2008
California is starting to return results and it looks like John McCain and Hillary Clinton are going to be the big winners on Super Tuesday after all...

Hillary Clinton vs. John McCain ?

C'mon America - you can do better than that!  Right!?

McCain Yup I won Super Tuesday
Yeah John, we're confused too

On the Republican side:   Mitt Romney falls back to a dismal second place with less than one half the delegates McCain has.  No one I've spoken to really seems to understand where John McCain's sudden surge of support came from - or why he's popular - or what exactly he's proposed for the country.  But anyway, he's independent or something.  That's at least what the media repeats again and again ...

Remember:  If you say something enough times, it must be true.  Of course, this probably explains Hillary's success as well.

Hillary wins Super Tuesday and says I told you so

No tears for the Clinton camp today

With the Democrats:  Hillary's lead over Obama stays moderate but significant. Obama would need a few big wins from here - and he would need to do something to capture the loyalty and enthusiasm of the Democratic party's elite guard.  The Clinton machine is so powerful within that system, however, that I find it incredibly unlikely for Obama to pull off a victory in this cycle.  Even if he did start to get large wins in the few remaining states, there are hundreds of super-delegates who are likely to back Clinton.

Good try Obama, you'll make a fine VP if you play your cards right!
