Hillary Loses: Republicans Attacking Obama |

I got this IM from a Democrat friend earlier and I have to share. She has been a Hillary supporter since the beginning, and I mean she's been looking forward to Hillary's candidacy since about 2005. These days? Not so much.
"Hillary is so desperately trying not to drown and it looks horrible"
This is in reference to the Obama photos. If you haven't seen Obama in Muslim clothes yet here is a photo - scroll down and you'll also see how ridiculous this Hillary "attack" is and why it isn't going to have any affect on Obama's supporters.
Everything Hillary has done in the last few weeks has only backfired,
and the response to these photos of Obama in traditional African
clothing practically confirms that we have moved passed the primary
elections and into the general elections strategies.
Voters on the left are just getting sick and tired of Clinton's
persistant negativity, and furthermore they are much less likely to be
persuaded to vote based on religious preference. Her campaign must
have realized this and probably expects to get the best reaction in
Texas. Unfortunately for her, Texas is an open primary and I've heard
a lot of Republicans excited to go out and vote against her. Conservatives have been waiting a long time to be able to vote against Hillary, so it doesn't even matter if she's the weaker general election candidate. That's just "too close for comfort."
Yet although Texas conservatives are likely to vote for Obama,
conservatives nationwide are planning out the strategy for attacking
him. As soon as Hillary is officially finished, these photos are
likely to resurface and be more heavily publicized by the conservative
media. The general election "attack Obama" strategy from the
Republican grass roots will actually be similar to the way Ron Paul was
attacked - photos and meetings will be used to associate him to radical
and racially motivated groups. So far the Republicans have: - Selected their own candidate,
- Relentlessly attacked Hillary
- Started creating a strategy for defeating Obama
Not too bad for a party that is considered "dead and defeated" by most of the mainstream media. Despite a general distate for McCain, the party seems to have rallied around his campaign quickly, even if only for the party's sake. Maybe the general elections will be more interesting to watch than I had earlier thought...
